Information we collect

Quick Start collects your email address. Your browser sends it directly to Formspark, which receives, stores and delivers the submission. The Gopher Trips website does not maintain a separate database copy.

For a fuller trip inquiry, our website links to an external Jotform. Inquiry information includes your name, preferred contact method, email, phone, approximate group size, trip timing, destination status, destination idea and an open trip description. Some questions are optional or conditional. Jotform manages the form and its submission; our website does not embed the form or transmit your answers to it.

We use Google Voice for business calls and voicemail at 505-750-8747. We do not currently record telephone calls. The website itself does not collect information when you select its phone link.

You may also choose to share contact information, travel preferences, group needs and other planning information through email, phone conversations, consultations or our planning relationship.

How we use information

We use information to respond to interest and inquiries, communicate with prospective customers, arrange and discuss free consultations, plan and provide services, and communicate about trips and the customer relationship. We also use it to maintain prospective and customer relationships, operate Gopher Trips, maintain appropriate business records, and meet applicable obligations where necessary.

Gopher Trips does not sell personal information.

Service providers and access

Service providers may process information on our behalf for business operations. Current providers include Formspark for Quick Start submissions, Jotform for trip inquiries, Google Voice for calls and voicemail, and email services for communications.

Access is limited to people and service providers who need information for legitimate Gopher Trips operations. Our providers may change as the business evolves. Third-party services also have their own privacy practices and policies.

Cookies, analytics and similar technologies

We do not currently use analytics, advertising pixels, heatmaps, session recording or similar tracking tools on this website. We also do not currently use our own cookies or persistent identifiers to track visitors.

Our Montserrat and Inter fonts are served locally; ordinary page loads do not request Google Fonts. Third-party services and website hosting providers may use cookies or logs and collect ordinary technical information. This policy does not promise that those providers operate without them.

Data retention

We may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries, maintain prospective and customer relationships, provide services, maintain appropriate business records, and meet applicable obligations. There is no single fixed retention period for all information.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No method of transmission or storage can guarantee perfect security or confidentiality.

Your choices and contacting us

Submitting Quick Start gives Gopher Trips permission to contact you about planning a trip. Neither Quick Start nor a Jotform inquiry automatically enrolls you in a newsletter or promotional mailing list. If promotional marketing is introduced, it will use a separate, appropriate consent and unsubscribe process.

You can contact us with privacy questions or requests concerning your personal information, including requests to update or remove information or stop planning-related follow-up. We will consider your request in light of our relationship with you, appropriate business records and applicable obligations. Use the privacy email below.

Children

Our website and services are not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Gopher Trips and our services evolve. The last-updated date identifies the current version. Materially different uses of information will receive appropriate notice and handling; updating this page alone does not authorize any use regardless of the circumstances.
